Overview

Personal Ring Dashboard is a private, self-hosted application intended for personal, non-commercial use by its operator. It connects to the Oura API only after the applicable account holder grants authorization.

This public policy website does not collect or display wellness data. It does not intentionally use advertising, analytics, tracking pixels, contact forms, or marketing cookies.

Information retrieved by the application

Depending on the permissions granted, the private application may retrieve account and wellness information available through the Oura API, including:

• sleep, readiness, and activity information;
• heart-rate and blood-oxygen information;
• workouts, sessions, tags, and stress information;
• heart-health measurements;
• ring configuration and account information; and
• authorization credentials and synchronization metadata required to operate the connection.

How information is used

Authorized information is used only to retrieve, store, organize, display, summarize, and analyze the account holder's data within the private dashboard.

The information is not used for advertising, marketing, insurance, employment, credit, eligibility decisions, or automated medical decisions. Data obtained through the Oura API is not provided to or used to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Storage and security

Application data is stored on a privately operated server. Access is restricted through private-network controls, encrypted network connections, and application-level security measures.

Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect authorization credentials and personal information. No storage or communications system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Disclosure and sharing

Personal information retrieved through the Oura API is not sold, rented, licensed, advertised against, or intentionally disclosed to unrelated third parties.

Information may be processed by infrastructure services needed to provide secure networking or application operation, but those services are not authorized to use it for unrelated purposes.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the private dashboard, synchronization, history, and backup functions authorized by the account holder.

The account holder may revoke authorization at any time. Processing will stop after authorization is revoked. A request to delete locally stored user data will be completed within 72 hours, including deletion of authorization credentials, except where temporary backup retention is technically unavoidable or retention is required by law.

User choices

The account holder controls the categories of information authorized through the Oura authorization process. Permission may be modified or revoked using the applicable account or application controls.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when application features or data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
